Darla Blundell has been a technician at Oakbrook since 2002.  She graduated from Emporia State University with a BS in Biology with a concentration in Zoology.  Her favorite part of the job is most people’s least favorite – the gross part!  She loves to see a good abscess or watch the doctor extract an infected tooth.  Orthopedic surgeries and foreign body removals interest Darla because she enjoys watching how fast animals can recover from major surgeries.  In her spare time Darla spends time with her niece, Malorie, and her family and friends and her pets; Ivy, a Bloodhound, Gatling, an English Bulldog, and Gilbert, a Boston Terrier mix.

Katie DeShon is Oakbrook’s Office Manager.  She joined the team in July 2007 and has a BS in Business Administration from College of the Ozarks.   Katie shares her home with her husband, Chad, and their cats, Camry, Dolly Friday, Todd and Bessy.

Shauna Waltz has worked as a part-time technician at Oakbrook since August 2008.  She recently moved to Gardner with her boyfriend Mike and her 6 year old daughter McKenzi.  They share their home with two cats, Bum and Chrissy, and one dog, Duke.

Tricia Adams is the groomer at Oakbrook.  She has been grooming for 14 years and loves it because she can experience so many different breeds of dogs without actually owning all of them.  Trish sold real estate in California for 16 years before training to become a groomer and moving to Kansas with her husband, Mark.  They share their home with Little Earl, Birdie, Ebo and Panda.  In her free time Trish likes to keep us all eating well and she loves canning and working in her garden.

Kenny Pritchard came to work at Oakbrook in November 2007.  He works in the kennel in the mornings and helps keep the hospital running smoothly.  Kenny loves to go square dancing and spend time with his dogs Jewel and Otis.
